AASHE明星

The Association for the Advancement of 可持续性 in Higher Education (AASHE) is the professional organization for sustainability work on college 和 university campuses around the world. In 2010, this organization launched the first version of their 可持续性 Tracking, Assessment, 和 Rating System (STARS). STARS是透明的, self-reporting framework for colleges 和 universities to measure their sustainability performance. Similar to Leadership in 能源 和 环境al Design (LEED) ratings for buildings, 大学可以获得铜牌, 银, Gold or Platinum ratings for their campus work on sustainability.

Each STARS report looks at all aspects of a university from operations information (such as how much renewable energy a school is using or what a campus waste diversion rate is), to engagement (how students participate in sustainability programming), 社会可持续性, diversity 和 equity measures (things like whether staff members earn a living wage or what level of debt students leave the school carrying). 整体, 该报告研究了超过2个,000 data points 和 requires the participation of individuals, offices 和 departments from all parts of the university to pitch in 和 help. 为了这个目的, The League launched a series of certifications for businesses, communities 和 universities to be rated as “bike friendly.” The Bicycle Friendly University (BFU) program recognizes institutions of higher education for promoting 和 providing a more bikeable campus for students, 工作人员及访客. The BFU program provides the roadmap 和 technical assistance to create great campuses for cycling.

The 新MG线上电子游戏 has been named a Bronze-level BFU since 2012, 和 we have the goal to reach Gold by 2025.
